What Everybody Ought To Know About Protein to Build Muscle

Protein is a vital building block for muscles and the body. Supplementation is sometimes a necessary and effective way to build muscle while also on a restricted diet. Using whey, soy, pea, or rice proteins to boost the amount you get daily is only recommended if you need the boost.

The average person gets too much protein. Taking huge amounts of the supplement in a shake each day is usually overdoing it, and does very little for muscle development. However, for men and women that are dieting, the extra proteins may be needed to stay healthy.

Before you start mixing in 50 grams of protein into your breakfast shake, take the time to educate yourself about the effects of protein as well as the different types. Whey protein is derived from dairy and therefore an animal source of protein. Whey is a good protein to have in your diet if you consume animal products. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. However, the amount you use can be a problem. In general, it is a better idea to use a smaller dose of whey if you are unsure of your protein consumption each day. There are also soy, rice, and pea protein concentrates. These are derived from plants, and often a good source of protein for those with dietary restrictions.

How to Cure Yeast Infection in Men: Getting Rid of the Itch!

How to cure male yeast infection is a problem much more common than people realize. Unfortunately, many people still think that candida, or yeast infections, are for women only, and so thousands of men go untreated. Not only do they suffer an itchy, red penis, but if they are sexually active then they continue to pass the yeast back to their partner, ensuring that the infection remains virtually forever.

Male yeast infections symptoms are usually characterized by an itchy, red penis. The head of the penis may be red and sore, and there may even be little white blisters or discharge. Burning on contact or upon urination may also occur.

NOTE: Because the symptoms of male yeast infections are quite similar to some sexually transmitted diseases, please see your doctor if you think you may have been exposed.

It should not be overlooked that there may be a much more serious underlying cause, such as HIV or diabetes, which is compromising the body’s natural balance. If this is the case, treating the candida symptoms is not enough, as the causes will remain and should be addressed with serious lifestyle changes. Longtime recurring infections should not be taken lightly. However, much more common is a one-time occurrence which is likely the result of sexual activity with a partner suffering from candida, or other factors such as clothing which does not breathe, and a poor diet.

Biblical, Ancient, and Modern References to Galbanum Essential Oil

Being in the construction business for many years, I developed a habit of using only materials proven over time. I wanted the houses that I built to be superior in structure and form. I realized that I was basing my trust in time tested materials and knowledge.

If you need to have some semblance of how long essential oils have been around, and what they were used for, one only has to read throughout the old and new Testaments of the Bible, to realize that Essential Plant Oils are listed in over 200 occasions. For example, there is a reference to Moses receiving a recipe for a holy anointing oil that involved Myrrh, Cinnamon, Calamus, Cassia, and Olive oil.

And it seems that everyone knows that the Christ child was anointed with Frankincense and Myrrh. And still yet another precious aromatic called Spikenard. Here is another passage describing the anointing Jesus.

“And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she break the box, and poured it on his head. Mark 14:3″

And another:

“then took Mary a pound of ointment of Spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment”. John 12:3

Eating Disorders: Red Flags Signaling Possible Anorexia Relapse

One of the things that frighten parents is possible relapse when their child is recovered. The best way to prevent or catch relapse quickly is to use what you learned about her eating disorder thoughts and behavior when she was ill.

When your child was ill with an eating disorder she said and did things that signaled to you this was the illness and not your daughter. All girls have eating disorder thoughts and behaviors in common. Your child, however, probably exhibited things that were unique to her and her illness.

Part of the reason your child got better from anorexia is because over time you got to know the ED. You learned the kinds of things that your daughter would say when under the influence of the eating disorder.

Things like, “I’m not eating that! I’ll eat half of it but that’s it! You can’t make me eat this! What did you put in this muffin? Did you make it with butter? That has too much fat in it.” I know these statements sound familiar to you.

You began to recognize the things she would do when the ED was raising its ugly head. You knew whether or not the ED was at the dinner table with you by her body posture, facial expression, and her reactions when you put the plate in front of her.

School Lunch Trays Are Being Tracked In An Effort To Reduce Childhood Obesity

A project funded by the USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture) is photographing student lunch trays before and after kids eat to determine how many calories each child consumes. Will this be a big help that leads to healthier children or is it a step toward more big brother involvement in the lives of all Americans?

The $2 million study is being conducted by the government agency in five schools in the poorest section of San Antonio, Texas. According to the research firm in charge of the project kids faces won’t be photographed. Parents will be provided eating information through a bar code system in hopes that at-home eating habits can be changed.

Unfortunately, the study does not expand its scope of interest to include the other known factor relating to the obesity issue: exercise. If a camera was aimed at a child’s physical activities during and after school, maybe officials would come to the same conclusion the rest of us reached many years ago. There is a simple answer to most weight issues, which is to burn more calories through exercise than we take in by eating.

The schools where the four-year study is being conducted has an obesity rate of 33%. This is about twice the national rate of 16% for both elementary and secondary schools. Obesity has increased by 50% since 1994 and three to four times the levels of 1970 and before. Few will argue that there is a problem, but are the choices made by the children or the foods available at the schools the answer?
